Guides / Money making.
« on: June 25, 2015, 03:45:51 pm »
Here is a guide of how to make money on reflux. I Hope you enjoy.

Guide no.1, Thieving is a basic guide that can be used from as soon as you enter the doors of reflex, the thieving stall are located infront of the home bank where you can sell the goods you get to the shop assistant. And earn cash quickly and you level up thieving at the same time :P

Guide no.2, Minigames. The second best source of money is the statue mini game in my opinion as you earn good items and amount of cash :) "quest tab"-"teleports"-"mini games"-"statue game"

Guide no.3, Bosses, Bossing is the Betsy money making in my opinion but you have to be a high nearly maxed player who knows how to handle them and has a god prayer level so they can survive the hits and get the loot "teleports"-"Bosses"

Hope this helped,

Kind regards,
Edward

Training-

As you may know when you first start playing its hard to understand a game if you haven't played a rsps like it or even one before so lets talk about "Reflux" and how you can level up and become a pro like the players you see around you...

Step1. When you choose your name and password you will log in, occasionally there is a black screen meaning you cant see anything or play so to sort this out press "Settings"-"Graphics Settings" (Monitor Picture)-"Custom"-Your display mode is OpenGL Switch it to "System" then to "DirectX" and back to "OpenGL" keep doing this until your screen is not black and once it is not black switch back to "OpenGL" so no lag happens and you get  the best performance of the game.

Step2. Shops/stalls, shops are located in front of the Home bank (24/06/2015), These shops hold everything you must need for skilling and leveling up! In front of the shops are the thieving stalls, here you can earn easy money quickly and get xp as well! and there's a bank right next to it to bank your goods that you receive from the stalls, What thieving stall could be better??? Then sell the good you get to Peksa for cash$.

Step3. Combat, First of all you want to buy your gear to train your combat levels, Peksa sells you weapons and Horvik sells you armour (They are both located in front of the Home Bank), Once you have bought the armour and weapons that you want head over to your quest tab and press on "Teleports", From there you need press "More Options..." then "Combat Training" and press "Rock Crabs (Low-Mid)" Once you're at the Rock Crabs you can kill and level up fast and become a high level players like you dream of ;) If you get to a high enough level you can go back to "Combat Training" and press any other NPC's.

Step4. Combat Level 138, To get Combat level 138 as you may know it only requires 6 skills, These are Attack, Strength, Defense, Constitution, Prayer and Summoning, I have told you how to level up the basic Fighting skills now lets get you to Max Level, Ok lets start with Prayer, The best way to level up Prayer is buy exp Lamps you can buy these from other players or get them from the Squeal of Fortune or the chest. Another way is buying bones from players as this is really quick but not many people sell them because the bones they get they use them. The way that most people use is by killing Green Dragons located under "Combat Training" REMEMBER TO WIELD A ANTI DRAGON SHIELD. You can collect dragon bones which give the highest amount of prayer xp, fill up your inventory and Teleport Home. Go Behind the bank, You will see a Prayer altar, Right click on the bone and press use, then use it on the altar. Automatically the bones will disappear and give xp, this method is better than burying the bones as you get more xp. Summoning, Summoning is a harder skill to do as there is only one way to level it up. Do ::summoning or you can go onto your "Quest Tab"-"Teleports"-"Skilling"-"More Options..."-"Summoning", Once you get their trade "Pikkupstix" and buy around 1000 pouches, 500 of each charms and 100k of spirit shards (you will have to buy more as you go on) Here is Runescape guide for what you can make with the level Summoning you are and the best xp you get :) http://runescape.wikia.com/wiki/Summoning_pouches

Hope you guys benefit from this Guide,

Kind Regards,
Edward

Edward's Moderator/Helper Application

In-game Username: Edward

Forum Username: Edward

Age: 14

Timezone (GMT +/-): +1:00

Country: England

Main language: English

Do you speak any other languages fluently? If so which?: No I sadly do not

What days of the week, and times of day are you most active?: Weekends: 9am/11am -10pm depends what i am doing in the day but usually nothing

Roughly how many hours a week are you online?: Weekdays: 6hours per day but come on at 7:30 for 5-10mins to check if the server is ok. Weekends: 10hours per day but varies depending what I am doing in the day.

Do you plan on having any further breaks in the near future?: No but when I have exams in about a year I won't be on as much.

Do you have any previous experience with Staff/Ranks? (Do not mention server names): Yes I do, I have been moderators on many servers, I have been a co-owner twice and admin quite a few times and was a moderator on another server before I came to Reflux.

If answered yes, do you still maintain these ranks? If not, why do you not have these ranks anymore? Most of the servers couldn't be afforded/owner didn't have time to run it anymore say they shut down but on some occasions I do leave as some servers get boring bet Reflux does not! :)

What do you believe is the responsibility of a staff member? The responsibility of a staff member is a lot, In my opinion as a staff member you should be friendly with all the players and become well known and trusted in the community, You have to be on a lot to help people and make sure know when is breaking the rules and everyone is having fun!

Have you ever been punished in any way in-game or on the forum?: I have never been banned from a server or even muted.

If you received this rank, would you devote hours of free time to not only play, but to engage in staff responsibilities on the server, forum, Skype or kik?: Yes defiantly I would devote more time to talk about the server and want needs improving and how to make it better.

Are you accessible through Skype to reach when offline? Yes I am

Answer these questions as in depth as possible, assuming the player continued the action regardless of what you said.

What would you do if someone was using offensive language? I would ask them to stop. If they carry on using it I would give them a temporary mute. And then tell A higher member of staff about it to see what they want to do from there.

What would you do if you came across someone that appeared to be AFK training? I would ask if they were their, if they do not reply in the space of 30secs to a minute I would kick them offline and if they did it again I would give them a Ban and they would have to appeal on forum to get back on to the server.

What would you do if a player was jailed for afk training, but did not have any money to pay their fine? If a player knows what they have done and understands that they should not do this again I would let them out of jail in 24hours.

What would you do if a player did not pay out when dicing? If a player did not pay out when dicing I would ask him to pay out if he didn't I would get a admin to remove what he owed from his bank.

What would you do if someone asked you to buy RS gp from them? I would Immideatly Give them a temporary mute and if they do it again I would ban them.

What would you do if someone was posting rude comments on forums? I would ban them from the forums for 48hours and speak to them in-game if he does it again I would ip ban him.

What would you do if a player logged on a different account to argue their punishment with you? i would get a higher member of staff to check the IP addresses and if it was confirmed they are being used from the same IP address I would ban him as multi-logging is not aloud.

What would you do if player logged in with a questionably offensive or rule breaking name?Ban that account straight away.

What would you do if someone messaged you claiming to be flamed by a player? I would talk to him in private and I would then talk to the other person about it in private and get them both together and talk to them to try and stop it and become friends again.

What would you do if a player accused you of abuse or breaking a rule? I would bring a witness who was online at the time and a admin or owner with me to confirm if I was or not.

What would you do if a player accused another of scamming for underpaying or taking advantage of another player? I would get both of them and hopefully a witness but if not I would see what he payed for the item etc and if it was a unfair price I would ask him to give some of the money back.

Tell us about yourself, hobbies, things you enjoy doing etc?: I am a sporty person who loves rugby, I'm 14 and play Xbox and Runescape Private Servers, I play advanced warfare and GTA V on the Xbox one.

Thanks for taking your time to read this,

Kind Regards,
Edward
